Dear Parents,

I would like to draw your attention to a series of study books, published by 'Coordination Group Publications', focusing on revision for the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum Tests.   As in previous years, we will be using the books to assist our teaching and learning of Literacy, Numeracy and Science throughout Term 4 and 5, whilst revising key concepts with the children, in preparation for the KS2 tests in May 2008.

The Study Books are available for purchase in local book shops at a price of £4.50 each, however as a school establishment we are able to order and offer them to you at a cost of £2.00 each.  Further details of the publications can be found on the CGP website   www.cgpbooks.co.uk   or alternatively you might like to ask to view them on display in Class Hornbeam. 

Many Year 6 pupils have found the books to be of much use whilst revising content and key areas of the core subjects, as the publications present information in a very clear and interesting style.  If your child has older brothers or sisters they may already have previous edition copies.  Although the editions are similar in content, particular pages of the 2008 and beyond books have been revised and reformatted to address the syllabus in the KS2 tests this academic year.

If you wish to purchase one or more of the books for your child, please complete the slip below and return it to me, with the exact payment, by WEDNESDAY 5^TH MARCH.  The books will then be ordered and sent home with pupils shortly after they arrive in school.  I ask you not to enquire about the books, or leave payment, at the school reception as then difficulties arise in keeping track of orders and payments.  Thank you.
