Dear Parents

On Thursday 5th June from 3 – 4.30pm I am inviting Y5/6 children to try out for two school Kwik Cricket teams which I am entering in to a 8 a-side Chippenham Cricket Festival on Friday 13^th June at Chippenham Cricket Club on Bristol Road. The tournament will take place in the afternoon.

I have also entered two girl’s teams for a 6 a-side Kwik Cricket tournament at Biddestone Cricket Club on Tuesday 10th June, also in the afternoon.

Unfortunately a trial is the only fair way to pick the teams. However there will be information given about attending cricket coaching at Chippenham Cricket Club during the summer for all those who attend.

Both boys and girls are encouraged to play cricket. Children can wear their normal P.E. kit with trainers and bring bats with them to the trial, if they choose.

If your child has an interest in playing in the two Cricket Festivals please could you complete and return the permission slip below.

I shall be selecting the two teams at the end of the trial, with the children being given a letter to take home. I hope to take a squad of 20 children (at least 2 girls for the District tournament and 14 girls for the other tournament in Biddestone)
